Vehicles on natural gasA high level of securityVehicles running on natural gas have been through many tests to certify your security.
Whether made of steel or heterogeneous materials, the tanks are designed to take up a pressure of 500 bars (2.5 times more than what it usually contains). They are, however, equipped with thermal fuses; with a temperature of 100°C, they automatically melt and trigger off safety valves that slowly releases gas into the atmosphere without any danger.
The bus tanks are fixed on the rooftop above, in a compartment separated from the passengers' cockpit . For all other vehicles, the tanks are fixed on the lower part (partie basse) equipped with flow limits that automatically switch off if a rupture occurs in the pipe. The tanks have successfully passed crash tests and have proved to be bullet and grenade resistant . Setting the tanks demands a vigorous control as they must be extremely well fastened in case of any violent collision. Gas storage in tanks is only done when in a state of gas . BLEVE (Boiling Liquid Effect Vapour Explosion) in no manner can be produced. Known for being an inflammable substance at a very high temperature (580°), and of light density that makes it easier to evacuate and disperse in the atmosphere, these natural qualities of gas contribute to the vehicles safety.
